Best end-to-end design tool on the market
Overall Satisfaction with Figma
I use Figma for enabling prototyping and testing of ideas for client solutions in product design/innovation workshops like Design Sprints and Hackathons. Design tasks can often be left to UX/UI designers only - Figma is collaborative and enables non-tech to also contribute (with copywriting, sourcing images, branding etc) and helps to reduce barriers and understand the product design process. It's now also so much easier to collaborate directly with Developers and reduces the friction of project handover for deployment. The best part for me, is the easy way to test prototypes on target users and receive quick feedback before investing a considerate budget to development.
Pros
- Collaborative Prototyping
- Testing prototypes with target users
- Developer hand-over
Cons
- The learning curve for non-designers could be easier
- Figma accelerates the time to data from user testing (1-5 days) which empowers my clients to make decisions faster
- Including Figma training and templates in my workshops empowers non-tech participants and increases their satisfaction rating (4-5 star rating)
- Using interactive prototypes in product demos to leadership after a 2-day hackathon cranks up the WOW factor and spotlights the hackathon teams to feel like Rockstars.
Figma is the go-to design tool that can be pushed to production very easily with developer tools. In my opinion it's the most complete design tool that considers the entire design process including the creation of solid design systems, high-fidelity prototyping, user testing, collaborative iteration and developer hand-over all in the same platform.
