Overall Satisfaction with FireMon

I have only needed support through email, but my question was addressed and answered quickly and efficiently.
FireMon is a big help in our efforts to clean up our ruleset. The ability to see exactly what ports and services are being allowed versus what is being used is extremely helpful.

Pros

  • Reporting
  • Visibility
  • Centralized network security monitoring

Cons

  • The reporting takes a long time to load.
  • There hasn't been an impact on our business objective.
We have not used or evaluated any other services. FireMon is a local company to us so it seemed like the obvious choice.
If you are looking to clean up your ruleset, FireMon will give you the insight you need to get rid of outdated rules and unused IPs, applications, and services. Its visibility also goes back far beyond what the firewall itself can hold.
