Overall Satisfaction with FireMon

The FireMon support people are amazing...Every call got the right answer and the support people know their product, which is really important.

When the first line of support was not able to answer the questions, due to the complexity of the situation, the case was escalated and an engineer would contact [us] back, assisting in resolving the issue.

We are using FireMon to monitor firewall changes as well as to improve the rule base.

It is a really efficient tool, which helps us by having a slimmer and more responsive firewall, which is not cluttered by redundant rules.

  • The install on column from firewall is not filtered, making it a bit difficult to analyze some rules
  • Less overtime for firewall admin
  • No need to use other tools for reporting
I have not used other products, as FireMon was here by the time I got hired and as we are happy with its features, there is no point in testing something else...at least for the moment.

FireMon is really for us useful when needing to streamline the rule base as well as to have an audit of all the changes made to the firewall, as it is sending emails for every change as well as weekly reports.

Our team is using it daily and we are really happy with its functionality.
