Overall Satisfaction with FloQast
We use the Checklist, Reconciliations, ReMind and Variance Analysis tools. Each of these have contributed to a more efficient close.
Checklist moved us out of an excel based checklist and increased visibility, reminder notifications and compliance.
Reconciliation tracking allows for better visibility into status, but my favorite feature is that alerts reconciliation owners if a balance changes after the rec has been signed off.
ReMind automates some of the monotonous emails we send to other departments in order to gather inputs needed for close.
The variance analysis tool replaces an excel based method that increases visibility to the team allowing more people to contribute. The ability to refresh balances also saves time and allows certain explanations to be completed earlier in the close process.

- Alerts users when late entries impact completed reconciliations or variance explanations.
- Automates request and reminder emails.
Cons
- Clearer alerts when blockers on the checklist are completed.
- AI tool on variance analysis is so slow that we just don't use it. Its faster to run a GL report. The explanations are also far too wordy and it isn't worth it to train for bullet points.
