Overall Satisfaction with Frame.io

The video team uses it to review in real time with in house and freelance creators.

Pros

  • It supports large file uoloads
  • Integrated well with Premiere Pro
  • Makes the review process more streamlined

Cons

  • Storage limits can be an issue and can lead to high cost
  • The UI is overwhelming at first
  • We've had issues with lag and upload failures
  • Fewer revision cycles save time which is money
  • Keeps everything on brand to better align with campaigns
  • It is scalable for growth and the more projects the bigger the time savings
UI is clean and modern. Easy to navigate. Loading can be slow or glitchy.
Wipster is better for smaller teams but lacks some of features of Frame.io

We had a commercial with multiple cuts and color grades and it allowed frame accurate feedback, version stacking and annotations directly on the timeline. This removed confusion and saved time. Where it is less appropriate is small projects that don't need a large team to review. It's overkill and not worth the cost.
