Overall Satisfaction with Frame.io

We use Frame.io to review videos within our team before sending them through our formal approval process. Being able to have the whole team give feedback on a video without having to send emails back-and-forth provides a much more efficient experience.

Cons

  • Being able to directly record voice memos as feedback would be a nice feature.
  • Streamlining our approval process leads to less hours spent uploading and downloading different versions by multiple people over the life of the project.
  • Versioning and audit trails keep everything organized.
Frame.io is very intuitive and easy to use. It’s easy to get new users onboarded into the platform and they usually get the hang of it rather quickly.
Frame.io seamlessly integrates with the rest of the Adobe software, so it streamlines our processes. It’s also very intuitive and easy to use.

I think it’s great for moving a video project along through team approvals, then formal approvals. The feedback system streamlines the whole process. When we do social posts with photos, it’s not really needed, as those are really just a yes or no type of approval.

Configuring Frame.io

I think Frame.io has just the right amount of configuration for our organization. It doesn't feel limited, but also isn't too complex for users of various skill levels.
I think the "defaults" are well thought out, so starting there would be my recommendation. Once you've used Frame.io for a while, you'll start to see what changes would make sense to speed up and optimize your workflow.
Some - we have done small customizations to the interface - Customizing the interface was very straightforward and made sense after using Frame.io for a while.

Frame.io Reliability

Frame.io was very easy to scale to the appropriate teams needed.
I haven't experienced any outages with Frame.io.
When sharing videos for feedback, there are no noticeable performance issues with Frame.io. Everyone is able to complete their tasks without the program getting in the way.
