Overall Satisfaction with Gigya

  • The social sharing elements and analytic's are all solid. It generally manages comments well although there have been some bugs in handling the volume of comments our site delivers daily.
  • There have been some issues with the volume of comments we receive as well as adding words to our blacklisted terms.
  • We are receiving page views/users from the sharing done on our site by our readers.
Disqus, Echo, Janrain (primarily commenting infrastructure only...we we already using Gigya for social media). Cost savings was the biggest factor but we'd already worked with Gigya and had a solid relationship as well. Also, Gigya's strategic road map was good and inline with our growth plans.

There are a number of variables in this equation: cost, product development, strategic growth planning, customer support etc

Evaluating Gigya and Competitors

Interwoven commenting. We had no other social media elements prior to Gigya.

Would have given higher marks save for some unclear points in terms of development and backend technical issues.

Would have given higher marks save for some unclear points in terms of development and backend technical implementation/integration issues. The development guide was sometimes fuzzy.

Gigya Support

Gigya is responsive to all requests, prioritizes effectively and efficiently, updates frequently and generally resolves issues in a very timely manner.
No - The cost is prohibitive.

Using Gigya

All elements are user friendly and easily navigable. Aside from some bugs associated with commenting, very easy to use and responsive.

Gigya Reliability

Very good across the board save for the previously mentioned commenting issues (moderation times out, unable to add to blacklist, some smaller issues).
For the most part, everything works in a timely fashion.

Integrating Gigya

  • Olapic (User generated photos), any new mobile applications we are developing..
Not sure.

Relationship with Gigya

Overall Gigya has been a good partner and helped us with our social media growth.
