Overall Satisfaction with GiveSmart

Our school uses GiveSmart as an online giving tool. The form embeds nicely into our webpages keeping the look and feel of our current website. The forms are very pleasing to the eye and user friendly both on a computer as well as on a mobile phone. The software allows text to give which we also take full advantage of during our giving events. The setup and reporting are very intuitive. We also are very happy with the fair pricing of the software. Overall it has been a great experience.

Pros

  • Text to Give
  • Allowing the option to pay a total sum on a payment plan - Recurring Gifts
  • Allowing a payment plan without the need to set up an account and login

Cons

  • The option to report total dollars on a fiscal year basis, not only calendar year would be so helpful.
  • The option to view how many total payments are remaining on a total sum/pledge - currently it only shows based on what is remaining per calendar year.
  • Allowing the donor the option to cover the credit card fees has saved us thousands of dollars a year on fees we would have otherwise had to pay.
  • It has improved network reach.
  • It has improved internal efficiency when it comes to setting up a payment plan for each donor. The system automatically charges them according to their plan the donor set up themselves as well as lets them know if their card is expired or did not go through.
Mainly we chose GiveSmart because it allows the option for a donor to specify a total dollar amount they want to give and then divides that dollar amount into monthly payments for them with ease and without having to create an account. The cost of the software is also much more reasonable than other platforms.
I do not have to create new campaigns often, but when I do, I still have a hard time determining how it is done as well as the use of the Keyword. Eventually, I am able to create what I need.
So far, I have only had to call customer support a couple of times and they have been very helpful and resolved our questions.
