Overall Satisfaction with Google Authenticator

Google Authenticator allows me as an administrator to manage multiple email addresses and sites that require authentication. I have not had much experience with other authentication programs, and the reason for that is Google makes Authenticator so easy to use that there was no real reason for me to switch to anybody else.
  • Quickly add addresses using Barcode
  • Easy to manage multiple addresses and sites in the console
  • Make finding the barcode easier
  • A customizable interface would be nicer than the standard one that’s available.
  • Quickly authenticates what I need.
  • No-frills interface that means I am in and out very quickly and onto the next task.
Because of Google’s ability to integrate within the entire G Suite ecosystem, Google Authenticator was the obvious choice for us. I did look at Authy briefly, and while the functionality was pretty similar to Google Authenticator, it just made more sense to stick with the Google product rather than try something from a third-party.
I have found Google’s support to be hit or miss. There are times when they are very responsive, and I get my issue resolved quickly, and there are times where a response from them takes weeks. There is no in-between. But my support experience with this particular product is nonexistent because I have not had a problem with it yet. Hopefully, we do not have any problems with it either.

Do you think Google Authenticator delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Google Authenticator's feature set?

Yes

Did Google Authenticator live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Google Authenticator go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Google Authenticator again?

Yes

Google Authenticator is great if you need a quick and dirty authentication program. Because it is a very minimalistic design, there is not a lot of customization available. It would be more helpful to hide some of the addresses and sites that I don’t use that often, instead of having one running list that I have to match up to what I’m looking for carefully.
