Overall Satisfaction with Google Calendar

Google Calendar is used within my organization to book meetings, block time, and determine how busy each team member is on a given day. It can be helpful to check someone's calendar before sending them a ping because that way you know if they are busy or in a meeting.
  • Easy to use
  • Clean, simple UI
  • No downtime
  • No meeting invite history
  • Unable to quickly distinguish between internal/external meetings
  • Working hours not clear enough
  • Positive: Easy for new employees to learn and use.
  • Positive: No maintainence required.
  • Negative: Historical data isn't always the cleanest.
Google Calendar is much easier to use than iCal in my experience simply because it is more reliable. It particularly seems to work better with the Microsoft suite of products as some of my coworkers who lean on iCal occasionally miss meeting invites as they don't sync correctly all the time.

Do you think Google Calendar delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Google Calendar's feature set?

Yes

Did Google Calendar live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Google Calendar go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Google Calendar again?

Yes

Google Calendar is really well suited for nearly any company, of any size. It is simple to use - let's be honest, most people already have some amount of familiarity with Google's suite of product from their personal life even if they have not used them in a professional setting before. However, as with anything Google related, there's always room for improvement. One example I've come across in my use is that it is tough to see the history of a particular meeting invite.
