Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Google Drive on my organization to share files in specific projects that involves people from different teams and location. We also use it to collaborate on the development of presentations and documents, and to keep a track record of changes made on those files. I also used Google Drive a lot in college, as it was a cheaper and easier to use option, when compared to other cloud storage services.

Pros and Cons

Files storage.
Integration with Google's office suite, such as Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Presentation.
Easy file sharing system.

File management.
File searching (sometimes it's hard to find an specific file path_
Integration with tools that are not part of Google's ecosystem.

Most Important Features

Capability of sharing files with people from outside the company.
Capability of creating shared drives for specific projects.
Google's office suite (Google Docs, Spreadsheets, etc.)

Return on Investment

Decrease on time wasted on documents reviewing for specific projects.

Alternatives Considered

OneDrive

Google Drive is easier to use than OneDrive. It has better UI, it is much more intuitive and it's easier to learn to use. It also have data security policies that are comparable to OneDrive. On the other hand it doesn't have such a good integration with Microsoft Windows.

Google Drive is really outstanding in terms of collaboration. If with you need to get work done with a big or small team and need to share files and work on them with other people at the same time, Google Drive is the right choice for you. In the other hand, if you want a system just for file storage and need good integration or synchronization with Microsoft tools or with Linux operational systems, you probably have better options in the market.
