Overall Satisfaction with Google Sheets
I use it as a way to track progress of my own personal tasks. It is a simple use case, but it's effective in my day-to-day life so that I know where everything is at and what I need to work on. I have used Google Sheets in other ways, but this is the most recent and consistent use case.
Pros
- Templates are helpful
- Autosaving to Google Drive adds reliability
- Formula recommendations are always helpful
Cons
- Less emphasis on AI
- I don't have many ideas for improvement, it's great for how I use it
- I've increased efficiency by knowing exactly where projects are at.
- Removed the worry of forgetting tasks by keeping things centrally located.
I have used monday.com and Trello for task and project tracking. Those tools are useful in the company-wide setting where multiple people need to have access, though the way I use Google Sheets is strictly for my own eyes. In that situation, I think Google Sheets is far more effective. Excel is the obvious comparison for spreadsheet work, and I don't necessarily have a preference in terms of actually using them.
