Overall Satisfaction with GoToWebinar

Usability

It is intuitive, consistent, simple and straight forward. It is almost as simple as using a photocopier, yet delivers superior performance. I can rely on gotowebinar to work ten out of ten times. And if things do not work, which is very rare, I get immediate help . This allows me to be consistent with what we offer clients, no hiccups, no problems.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

[It is used] to stay in touch with clients, as an announcement platform, to train customers and deliver training services. We use it in place of newsletters as webinars are a more personal way of connecting with clients. The whole organisation uses GotoWebinar as and when required. We also use gotowebinar when we need input from clients about the direction of business or details of product offerings.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Reliable, always works, almost no hiccups.
When there is a hiccup very responsive and helpful service to fix whatever is not right
Cross platform solution, clients can use any device to participate
Reasonable costs

Cons

Ability to transmit system audio is weak. In other words I can play a video and want the participants to not only get the visual but also the audio from what I am playing. This does not work.
Conversion time of recordings can be improved.
Ability to turn on/off participants seeing each other's names and each other's questions.

Alternatives Considered

Zoom has some features that are better than gotowebinar's ability to play system audio.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is almost always appropriate. Ii can not think of a situation when it is not. It solves all problems and addresses all needs. It is an intimate and powerful tool to deliver seminars, content, advertising, training or simply connect with clients, like a fireside chat.

Thanks for taking the time to review GoToWebinar, Sinan. I'm realy happy to see your rating for our reliability :-) From the review I take it that you've struggled with video playback. Not sure if you're aware, but we've recently released a new video sharing feature in our Pro and Plus tiers that should deliver a much better experience. If you're on one of these tiers it should already be available in your account. If you're on Starter one of our account managers I'm sure would be happy to demo it to you. I hear you on recording conversion time. Have you made the switch to online recording yet? We released that update in Q3 last year and you can turn it on via the settings page. Once switched on the recordings get stored in the cloud automatically and you get notified by email if conversion takes a bit. All the best, Daniel
