Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I work for an HR consulting firm, in a talent acquisition business unit. Our clients source their employment candidates and direct them to HireVue for an interview. We rate the interviews and recommend/do not recommend candidates to the next step in the employment process.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Intuitive and aesthetically-pleasing interface.
Provide project management support.
Versatility in tailoring interview options/organizing interview responses.

Cons

The platform can be rigid/difficult to modify with creative uses of it.
The platform screens interviewees' systems to ensure sound can be heard; but can't necessarily guarantee a viable interview (e.g., free of background noise, volume high enough to be heard, etc.) will be recorded.

HireVue is well suited for recording interviews but there are significant challenges with live interviewing.

Thanks for reviewing us! We take feedback very seriously and appreciate the time you spent writing this review. Could you expand on what challenges arise when you do live interviews? We want HireVue to be a seamless process for interviews and candidates. I'd also like some more information regarding your concerns about modification and creative uses. What features would you like to see improved? Again, we want HireVue to work well, and be user-friendly. Unfortunately technology isn't always the most reliable. Our platform does check candidate's and recruiter's webcams, internet, and microphones before an interview starts. However, cases like internet cutting out, a background program shutting down the microphone or webcam, or any other technical issue can sometimes not be avoided. HireVue is well-designed, efficient, and organized
