Overall Satisfaction with HireVue

We are a global business recruiting students to join a global learning network. We use HireVue as part of the application process to evaluate the English and logic skills of the potential students. Students must complete an eight question interview with two video responses, one essay and five multiple choice questions.

Pros

  • Provides consistency to the interview process.
  • It allows us to keep the whole application process digital.

Cons

  • The process for the user to get into the interview could be streamlined better. It can be complicated, especially for those with little technology skills.
  • I would like to be able to edit the questions in a current position without having to create a new position from scratch. Especially just be able to change the time limits etc.
  • HireVue reinforces our digital environment.
  • Gives us an opportunity to get to know the applicants before they enter the program.
  • Allows us to screen those with poor English skills which improves the level of satisfaction from the students.
HireVue is working well for us in the application process for education. I can't think of any scenario where it would not be suited.

    Hi Scott! Thanks so much for reviewing HireVue. We're glad you're on board and we could help you with your recruiting process. The reason we haven't had the ability to make drastic edits to questions after a candidate has started their interview on a particular position, is we feel it would not be fair to the recently added candidates, as the questions would then be different for them and the previous candidates that have taken the interview with the non-edited questions. You will need to make a new interview position if you want to make drastic question changes. However, I will send this over as a feature request to see if we can implement this change. Feature requests are taken seriously and reviewed daily. Are you referring to the process of the user of getting into a live interview, or are you referring to logging into HireVue and reviewing an On Demand interview? Do you have any suggestions on how we could improve either of those? Our user interface is always being worked on and improved. I'd be happy to send feedback to our UI/UX team.
