Overall Satisfaction with Human Interest

I use the product as a financial advisor for small businesses. I have two clients that currently use the 401(k) record-keeping product. The website is easy to use, although not exactly tailored to supporting an independent financial advisor.
  • The website (although plan sponsor oriented) is easy to use.
  • Reporting is adequate.
  • Investments available for the fund lineup are good.
  • Cost is competitive.
  • If HI is interested in working with independent financial advisors, they should develop a website more oriented to advisor needs.
  • The team at HI was not proactive in bringing me into the early stages as the financial advisor, which seemed like they were selling against me.
  • It seemed like they were selling the plan sponsor that they didn't need an independent financial advisor rather than partnering with me as the client's advisor.
The website is easy to use although again, it's oriented to the plan sponsor and not an independent financial advisor.
I've used only the 401(k) product and would say it stacks up well with other 401(k) providers I work with based on usability, reports available, investment options, and price.

For price-sensitive clients, they seem to be a good fit.
