Overall Satisfaction with Human Interest

We are a small to medium sized wealth management firm with offices in multiple states. We were looking to implement a start-up 401(k) plan for our employees in 2020. We ran into a handful of roadblocks and high expenses from other providers in the market, being a start-up plan. Human Interest had a turnkey affordable solution for us that fully integrated with our QuickBooks payroll service, day one. Now, as soon as we onboard a new employee in QuickBooks, the system auto-syncs with Human Interest, and the employee receives an email with all legal notifications and enrollment instructions as soon as they qualify to participate. The system has literally put our 401(k) on autopilot for us!
  • Integrates well with payroll provider.
  • The employee portal is super easy for staff to use.
  • Pulling reports and monitoring the plan as an employer is extremely easy.
  • The onboarding process has been a bit clunky for our clients that we have recommended HI to.
  • Not having a dedicated support person is not ideal.
  • HI has definitely had a positive effect on our ROI from a time expenditure standpoint. It has freed up significant time for our Operations Director.
  • Overall employees seem very happy with the platform, and their accounts.
The platform fully integrates with our payroll system and makes onboarding and management of plan participants extremely easy for our team. The portal is super easy for all employees to use and feel comfortable rather than intimidated with their retirement account.
Plain and simple, Human Interest is easy to use and did not compare to the competition.

Human Interest is great for small to medium sized business that are looking to have a turnkey 401(k) plan for their employees. The platform has not shown that it is quite ready to compete with larger providers from an employee portal standpoint. Specifically, they currently do not have an account aggregator that allows the employees to link outside accounts.
