Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service

It resolved all the Cloud Foundry issues while deploying the unwired UI when updated to Meteor 1.8.

Pros

  • Scales really well
  • Deploys fast
  • Resolves Cloud Foundry issues

Cons

  • Goes down once in a while.
  • Flipping between routes don't work so well at times.
  • Scaling is great so it helps with budgeting.
Cloud functions are easier than K8's and can be used for lightweight apps. Cloud Foundry has given us issues like staging timeout and memory issues where it is easier to just deploy the image.
For better deployment and avoid issues with Cloud Foundry. Any lightweight apps like Python don't really need K8.
