Overall Satisfaction with IBM Robotic Process Automation

We are currently using it to automate most of the user activities performed by the Tellers. There are so many manual input required by our backend staff at the banking halls to complete a simple transaction. As an organization, IBM Robotic Process Automation was introduced and currently running as a project, enrolling most of the common activities performed by the backend staff. That has saved time and helped increase the turnaround time in fulfilling customer request.

Pros

  • IBM Robotic Process Automation is able to complete programed activities well. With it, the team was able to automate account settlement process.
  • It does not allow for duplications. Since we implemented Airtime settlement on IBM Robotic Process Automation, duplicate airtime deductions on client account has been eliminated

Cons

  • Not that I can think of now
  • It has increased our customers trust in us. Now customer call rate and ticket rate for failed reversals of failed transactions has reduced from the 100s of client per day to 10's when you look at the transaction dashboard
  • IBM Robotic Process Automation has increased the turn around time to complete all the onboarded transaction processes. Now we have 95 processes on-boarded on IBM Robotic Process Automation.
I did not participate with integration with Facebook and Whatsapp, but the chat bot Rafiki created is good.
On average, an hour and half have been saved on implementing IBM Robotic Process Automation. Transaction reversal alone without IBM Robotic Process Automation was taking a maximum of a day.

Do you think IBM Robotic Process Automation delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with IBM Robotic Process Automation's feature set?

Yes

Did IBM Robotic Process Automation live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of IBM Robotic Process Automation go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy IBM Robotic Process Automation again?

Yes

It is best to be used when you understand your process, and always try it out in a UAT environment to avoid breaking anything in the production environment. When it was first implemented for auto-reversal of customer failed transactions, it had to be rolled back because some steps were missed and that ended up reversing double fees.
