Easy to learn and use for fast creation of complex conversation flows
Overall Satisfaction with IBM Watson Assistant
We have been using IBM Watson Assistant in multiple projects to address the needs of a number of our clients. The use cases range from answering FAQs for a municipality (e.g., when is garbage day or where are dog-friendly parks) to automatically generating conversations to assess students' understanding of different topics to providing mental health comfort to people in military and their families who don't want to have it on record.
Pros
- Easy to develop the conversation flow.
- Using the API to modify the conversation flow.
- Good in picking up synonyms.
Cons
- API v2 is still not very efficient in term of manipulating the conversation. API v1 is way more flexible.
- There is a limit on the number of skills per IBM Watson Assistant instance, which is causing us trouble creating skills programmatically.
- We are unable to use our own language model.
- Sped up the development process
- Generated complex conversation flows
- Integrates seamlessly with the rest of our application
IBM Watson Assistant is way more generic than ManyChat. It delivers more functionality and gives developers that flexibility to do whatever they want, pretty much. It is also way better in terms of natural language understanding and understanding concepts such as time, money, and people's names. IBM Watson Assistant also offers APIs that makes it very easy to programmatically generate and manipulate conversations in realtime.
