Overall Satisfaction with IBM Watson Discovery

IBM Discovery works purely on NLP and machine learning. We have multiple BMC Helix chatbots which are integrated with IBM Watson. IBM Watson is extended with Knowledge Articles through the help of IBM Discovery through crawler, one of the great features of IBM Discovery. Because of IBM Discovery training, we have a drastic change in our statistics of ChatBot accuracy.

  • Can train itself through files like, word, powerpoint etc.
  • Gives proper suggestion as per the training.
  • The confidence threshold can be improved.
  • Sentiment extraction from the document can be improved.
  • It’s training helps the accuracy which directly impacts the user experience.
  • Because of its algorithm, the results are well matched with the user query/input.
A non-technical person can easily get used to IBM Discovery because of its well-responsive UI. The overall application is well descriptive, and each section has all the information about each and every feature. This makes this tool very user-friendly.
The NLP has had a great impact on our customers as we saw a drastic change in our statistics of relevance and irrelevancy. The feature of rating the specific article makes this tool the best in the business as it helps to display the best article at the top in the order.

If you have a ChatBot that is built using IBM Watson and you have to extend it by your knowledge articles, then IBM Discovery is the best. If you want to manage your knowledge articles as a standalone application, then I would prefer a different platform rather than IBM Discovery.
