Overall Satisfaction with Insightly
We use Insightly for tracking opportunities, managing our customers, employees and vendors. We have created our opportunity pipeline which makes it easy to track where are our opportunities are in the process. We can estimate cash flow. Our sales team can follow up on opportunities that have stalled out. The entire sales team can see the emails, notes and files on an opportunity.
We put all of our employee information into Insightly so that HR has one location to track information. HR stores things like salary, benefits and vacation information. We restrict this data to the HR team.
Finally we use Insightly for Vendor management. It helps us track negotiations, contracts and renewal dates. This helps accounting know when to expect bills for renewals on our SaaS applications. This gives us a better understanding of our cash flow.

Pros
- Insightly is VERY simple to use and implement. The pipeline is easy to set up and track.
- Insightly is easy to add custom fields. This can be the most complex part of some CRMs but Insightly makes it easy to customize new fields.
- We love Insightly's integration into email. The email gadget makes it easy to save to an contact, organization, opportunity or project. I like that you can attach it to more than one object which makes it easier to find later.
- GREAT integration! I love the Evernote integration since I keep all my notes on Evernote. I can tie it to an organization or contact. I also like the QuickBooks integration since it gives the Sales Team visibility to invoices sent to the client.
Cons
- Insightly has limited reporting features. It has a nice pipeline report but customized reports are very challenging.
- I love the product but the user interface could be nicer.
- Employee efficiency has improved.
- Visibility to all clients in the pipeline is MUCH better.
- Vendor management is much easier with Insightly.

Insightly is an easy and affordable solution compared to other CRMs. The implementation and training costs are significantly lower than other CRMs I have implemented. Email and document integration is much better with Insightly. Having the ability to enter emails and notes easily from the normal workflow has made the user adoption higher than other products.
