Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Intacct, currently, is being used by the outsourced department at our company. We have multiple clients on the system, and as we gain more clients, we do use Intacct for them. This is our system of choice.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Customization services are wonderful!
It is very easy to build reports using dimensions, and they are an amazing tool to have.
Customer service is always available to help you with any questions you may have.

Cons

The system is not very user friendly, you really need to know what you are doing. There needs to be a way to improve on the ease of use.
It would be nice to see a live report as an example while you are [using] the report builder.
ACH direct link with your bank to download the transaction information and make the process easier and simpler!

Return on Investment

Month end close has gotten much faster.
It has been easier to give our clients real time access to their books.

Alternatives Considered

I have also used QuickBooks, and Intacct is definitely superior. The system allows for great customization which is really what most of our clients are after.

There are many things we learn with one client that we can take and use for another. A great example of this is custom reports.

Likelihood to Recommend

I believe for a very small business, Intacct just has too many features that are not necessarily useful for them. I believe intact is better suited for that middle ground.
