Overall Satisfaction with InterSystems IRIS

We using InterSystems IRIS as a full solution for our hospital facility to manage entire patient flows and financial flows as well. Technology- and solution-wise it's one super solution. I am previously working with multiple other HIS systems and I found a lot of new things in this HIS solution and users also a lot of new features also available. It's a really good solution.
  • Clinical part
  • RCM part they will done all most all the DHA and insurance integrations.
  • PAS part included the easiest methods for booking appointments and patient management is very easy.
  • Audit log for each and every action is a very good thing.
  • Code table concept is a very good idea for supporting staffs.
  • UI Part little bit improvement required, but that is not a big issue.
  • Once done the future booking for appointment we cannot reschedule the appointment up to today is lesser than that booking date.
  • g.: Today (29/07/2022) I am booking for an appointment on 01/08/2022, I want that appointment to need to reschedule to 31/07/2022, this is not possible.
  • If possible to reschedule the appointment up to the current date is a better option.
  • Patient Bill is cancelled then multiple records are getting created, this will be make confusion for users.
  • For IT staffs if you can provide the database related training it will be more helpful for manage the Realtime requirements.
  • Overbooking.
  • Multi booking.
  • Generate and attach the medical report.
  • Multi quick booking.
  • Payor Online validation.
  • Documentation makes strong.
  • Clinical part become more documented.
  • Audit log for each and every area helps more to reduce the issues in internal teams.
  • UI Design aspects is only one negative point I can say.

Technology-wise this is one of the best solutions. Overall this will cover all the needs of hospitals. Clinical part is very strong and easy to manage. Once they start to use they can reduce the time consuming to do the insurance submission-related things. That I am found to be corrected is their design resolution aspects and it will need to be worked in any resolution.

100 - We are one of the reputed hospital group in Dubai. We are using the the InterSystems IRIS as our HIS system to manage our facility's entire workflows. This is one of the very best solutions to manage the entire workflow of any facility. They have multiple options to fulfill the requirements of any other Hospital too.
18 - Anyone who has a good background in healthcare can easily manage. All the settings and configuration-related things will do the training from the InterSystems side and once their training is finished we can easily learn and do the things from our side. There are a lot of better options available in that system to manage the initial things.

  • Insurance submission, resubmission and auto remittance.
  • eRx related workflows.
  • Insurance online validation.

  • Appointment slot insertion.
  • Appointment reschedule need to possible if reschedule date is today, now only allow to reschedule on future dates.

Evaluating InterSystems IRIS and Competitors

Yes - Mediware HIS system is replaced with InterSystems IRIS. Mainly we replace reason is support. If we need to do an emergency change it will take more time and there are a lot of stability issues also there. New features they are not trying to find and do not include by themself.

Product feature is more important. Here in clinical, RCM, PAS, Administration , Insurance, Medication, Nurse area, Patient management area, Laboratory areas, Radiology, Inventory management area all are very strong. This will makes our daily working is makes more better than ever. It will reduce our staffs daily workload and more productive.
Product stability and reputation will also consider if change our evaluation and selection process.
Because stable products will also help us to improve the productivity and daily works, other wise will struggle with the system to complete the daily stuffs.
And the reputed company will do the required new changes will include in their new releases and it will comply our regulatory requirements.

InterSystems IRIS Implementation

Will done based on a proper planning, so this will makes execution more easier and better.
Change management was a big part of the implementation and was well-handled

They will provide the stable solution and support for every time.

Once the ticket raised then they will study about this reported issue and they will try to reproduce the issue.
if they will not able to find the issue then they will makes a call and from our side we will shows the identified scenario and they will do the needful.
