iSpring Suite is a must have for those creating training content.
Overall Satisfaction with iSpring Suite
We are a restaurant group with more than 5 locations. iSpring Suite has helped us to streamline our training process. We have been able to ensure that ALL employees are completing the same training, watching the same videos and taking the same quizzes. This has helped us to reduce errors, allowed our new staff to feel knowledgeable and our managers to track how the new hire is progressing. I am the content creator for our programs, and it has been great to have the option to update things as needed and know that it is launched immediately to the platform. It has brought consistency to our organization.
Pros
- Cohesion of slides. The prebuilt slides make the presentation more professional and help to keep things organized as well as smooth transitions between slides.
- Easy of creating. The fact that iSpring Suite is an add on for Power Point makes the whole thing user friendly. There are so many options to enhance a presentation. There are options to add quizzes or interactions straight into the presentation, which is helpful because there aren't extra steps needed.
- There is a help button within iSpring Suite. This allows you to ask a question, look up video tutorials or even ask the community for assistance. This is an asset when you get stuck.
Cons
- Some of the backgrounds do not pertain to me. We are a restaurant group and there is only a few options, but none really reflect who we are. It would be nice if we could design our own background or even import a photo of our restaurant that is saved in our account to be used as a background.
- The objects option for a restaurant is all illustrated so it looks very much like a cartoon. The only objects that do not look like a cartoon are office items such as pencils, paperclips or phones.
- A positive would be consistency. 100% of our new hires have to go through our training course. We have had a 95% success rate of completion. For those that do not complete our course, it's usually because they have decided that it is not the job they wanted/were looking for. Having everything consistent and streamlined, helps us to keep the flow of orientation and training running smoothly.
- A negative would be that the reports are inconsistent when we pull them. If you don't process the report in a specific way, the data can be skewed. For example, if the employee didn't click "finish" on their training, it shows them as 0 completed on the report. But if I click on their name specifically, then enrolled learning... there I can see that they were 99% done. It doesn't always record it properly.
- It has been costly for what we use. I do not think that we use it to its full potential. We purchased it solely for training new hires, but I know that there is a lot more that it can do.
