Overall Satisfaction with Jamf Pro

We use it with a number of clients to manage Macs and iPads. These clients are typically in the Education and Marketing/Design fields, but we have a construction firm as well. We use it mainly for MDM, App management, and inventory control. It is a powerful and worthwhile investment for anyone that uses either Mac or iOS in the workplace.
  • Inventory. Detailed information, and visibility to whether or not devices are being used.
  • Device Management. Being able to control software and other aspects of the device, automatically, is very nice.
  • Application Management. Being able to deploy apps to a large number of devices, both Mac and iOS is a huge time saver.
  • Having to select an edit button to change items when checkboxes are visible is annoying.
  • Having a device inventory interface whose default scheme is "add what you'd like", rather than "remove what you don't want" is slightly annoying.

I haven't used any others.
My favorite application for it is the education field. That also happens to be where I use it most. Being able to quickly deploy software for in-class and testing use is very handy and a big time saver. I think it's useful in almost every setting, After hearing about Jamf Now, I'm planning on setting it up for use in my home, too!
