Overall Satisfaction with Jenkins

Jenkins integrates well with tools like Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes. Used to automate the build, test, and deployment processes across multiple teams, projects, and environments.

Pros

  • Lots of plugins.
  • Highly Configurable.

Cons

  • UI/UX Feels Outdated.
  • Steep learning curve.
  • Scalability.
  • Improved Code Quality and Reliability.
Jenkins' plugin ecosystem significantly enhances usability, as it provides integrations with virtually every popular tool and service in the DevOps space. Jenkins also offers both Declarative and Scripted pipelines, allowing teams to choose the style that suits them best. Declarative pipelines are particularly user-friendly for those who are not comfortable with coding, as they utilize a more readable and structured syntax.
Jenkins is highly customizable and flexible, supporting a wide range of plugins and integrations. Jenkins works with any version control system (Git, Subversion, etc.). Jenkins has a more mature ecosystem, and it may be better for large-scale, complex environments, especially if you're already using it in an enterprise context.
