Joomla! is a customizable software, we have used it to create web applications for our organization because it only takes a few minutes. It is more effective than other tools for developing web-oriented projects.

It provides control and personalization to your website.
The third party components are also easily available for Joomla!.
Joomla! has built in revision control. Going back and fixing previous work is easy.
It's free and open source.

Sometimes cache buildup becomes a problem..
Its learning curve is more complex compared to others.
It can't create a very complex website.

Return on Investment

With Joomla! we are able to build the site with more content & with social networking features.
We use this tool to rapidly develop websites and update the contents within them in an extremely productive way.
Joomla! executes all the key sections of our website: content pages, downloads, landing pages and others.

WordPress

There are many themes and other design assets for Joomla! we can use from paid and free libraries throughout the internet. WordPress on the other hand is also very good and useful, comparatively Joomla! offered more features and at a better price.

It works very dynamically and is comfortable. It has a comprehensive system of navigation for managing hierarchies. I have also used this content management system to build my clients' websites and it works great.
