Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training

Every employee with eMail Access is required to take the training and to install the PhishAlert icon on their Microsoft Outlook application. Then we are required to take and pass all of the training modules which were installed and sent to us randomly. Then we have to successfully respond to all of the KnowBe4 attempts to get us to click on the wrong eMails which contain links to threatening or bogus web sites. This process continues in the background at a frequency of 2-3 bogus attempts every month ad infinitum as far as I can tell.

Pros

  • Teaches you how to visually scan and investigate any links for either bogus traps, scams or otherwise invalid links
  • Continues to send you 2-3 bogus links every month in order to keep you on your toes
  • Permits you to forward suspected bogus or invalid and suspicious links to your company repository for tracking purposes
  • When you click on a bogus or invalid risky link it informs you of that fact and sends you a link to take more quizzes and training to prevent a recurrence

Cons

  • Once you submit a suspicious link or a bogus URL through the Phishing Icon in Outlook, you should get an immediate response as to whether or not you were correct in your assessment.
  • The links to the mandatory training required should be more descriptive regarding exactly why you are given these additional tasks.
  • The number of propagated issues from Phishing attacks has gone down to about 25% of previous values.
  • The time wasted on dealing with successful Phishing attacks has been minimized.

Very high impact. Always accurate, focused and precise.
When you get a link like HR@yourdomain.com or IT @yourdomain.com it is blatantly obvious that this is fake link. The level of "false urgency" embedded in the link probably tricks more persons than otherwise than a link without a deadline or a sense of "false urgency.'
