Overall Satisfaction with Litmos

We use Litmos mainly for compliance learning across our organisation. Being in live events we have many legal requirements and best practices to adhere to. We use Litmos due to the relatively short and friendly approach to a subject matter, this suits our teams who work in fast paced live event environments. With compliance being mostly a "boring" subject we looked for a provider that had a lighter friendlier approach to this and who could cover the whole range of industries we have within our organisation.

Pros

  • Provides clear explanations within e-learning.
  • Helps make certain "boring" subjects fun with animations.
  • Has an easy to use platform when looking through available learning.

Cons

  • More accompanying digital materials to go with an e-Learning package for an LMS.
  • Have a summary document on all courses, highlighting main learning points and estimated completion time.
  • Reduced learning times across the business, therefore lowering the completion payment.
  • Improved business wide compliance by over 60%.
  • Gave us the ability (via our LMS) to quickly gather reports on key learning requirements.
  • It provided the ability to react to any potential issue by quickly sourcing and building a course after identifying a safety issue.

It's really easy to use. I just search the platform for my requirements, play a demo before downloading it, and then drag and drop it into my LMS. It couldn't be simpler. The only reason it isn't a 10 is that some courses don't have better summary descriptions or additional materials.
The company received a change in learning style from the old to this newer style. From our perspective, it was just a case of swapping out the scores and adjusting the language. The initial show-and-tell about the library we could use and how to use the materials was instrumental. From the learner's perspective, it was all very self-explanatory.

It is well suited for fast-paced businesses or ones that are less traditional with their learning delivery. We deal with live events, so the learning style is excellent for us as it is more vibrant. We have a workforce with a huge range of capabilities, and the e-learning on offer is proven to be universal.
