Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

The UI is pretty self-explanatory.
I have used Lucidchart for visualizing our software product architecture using UML diagrams & flowcharts. These diagrams will be used as part of our documentation of our Classic Locker System client side.

Pros

  • Connecting components
  • Allowing for layering
  • Undo, Redo
  • The self-explanatory UI

Cons

  • When sharing with team members, it makes it confusing.
  • In sequence diagrams, when we add Loops or Alternatives, their text hides behind the lifeline of entity, whereas the text should overlay on it.
  • When shared with public, at least users should be able to view it, those without a Lucid account rather than the whole process of the user requesting their IT admin, then admin requesting Lucid to add account to their users pool.
Didn't interact with support much yet. But I would say that when adding users to the pool, automating that process and giving complete access to our team's Admin would ease and speed up the process. Had to wait 1 day before getting started.

Lucidchart is the first tool that I used with subscription, so yeah, it is on top automatically.
Microsoft Office 2016 (discontinued), Eclipse, Visual Studio IDE
Any application where demonstration needs to be done visually of software insights or overview, Lucidchart is ideal.
