Overall Satisfaction with Lucidspark

We use it to brainstorm and bring the team together in the virtual realm in real-time, which has been a major challenge over the past nearly two years. It has helped to create a "room" in which we can not only speak (using virtual conferencing applications) but co-work in a more tangible way. There is not much of a comparison as far as within our organization, as there really was not a way to do this before outside of conversations.
  • Create a visual realm to collaborate
  • Operate a live shared whiteboard for immediate feedback
  • Able to build in complexity for more detailed work
  • It's only as good/fast as your internet connection, a stark reminder that in-person is also a great option
  • Can be a challenge to move from project to project
  • Getting started can be a challenge - learning the functionality
  • Speeds the pace of idea sharing
  • Improves visualization
  • Another software to learn and maneuver
As stated in the question, it's simple and intuitive and relatively easy to get started. The challenge is that it can be a lift when you have your regular day-to-day work to take care of. Additionally, while getting started is very simple, you, of course, want to learn more of the functionality, and that takes time.
There has not yet been any value added by the integrations. More of a walk-through would be useful to get started and, honestly, part of the challenge is just keeping up with the rest of day-to-day work. Activating another software and integrating it across the business takes time and energy as well.
Overall, Lucidspark is reliable when using as a basic whiteboard for collaboration and idea-sharing. Even for more advanced workflows, it can excel. The only real challenge is it can get bogged down if work gets truly detailed and numerous components are loaded. It's a useful tool to have in your back pocket.
There are plenty of resources to dig into on their site. However, we have not been using the software for nearly long enough to encounter the need for a great deal of tech support. I would expect it to work well, and it does, but we'll have to see how things look in another year.

I find it to be best suited for creative endeavors or areas where literal sketching and brainstorming can take place. It can get bogged down, however, when projects get more complex. That's when your internet speed can matter, as well as the capacity for the software to handle the lift can sometimes become apparent.
