Overall Satisfaction with Lucidspark
Lucidspark was used for a creative workshop on Design Thinking best practices and standards. Exercises were created and breakout team boards were utilized. It was perfect for collaboration among teams and the larger group. The app was useful in creating empathy maps, storyboarding concepts, and basic prototypes for further collaboration and discussion.
- Group breakout boards.
- Affinity mapping with sticky notes.
- Storyboarding.
- Quick sketching.
- Voting.
- Polls.
- The learning curve makes it tough for some users.
- Maybe provide more access to third-party apps.
- Create different brushes for in-app sketching.
- Great for storing and sharing ideas.
- Setting up a board before an activity can help better define goals.
- The export options are a nice way of sharing results from a meeting or workshop.
My organization uses Slack daily, so having that kind of integration is very important and serves as an incredibly useful tool to pair with Lucidspark. Although I have not used Google Drive with it yet, I can certainly see the potential and I think it is the perfect app to connect to Lucidspark.
Lucidspark has been an exceptional tool to use during the age of virtual meetings. When in-person collaboration is not an option, this is a fantastic way to work with others. It is so good, in fact, our team still uses it for in-person meetings. Lucidspark adds ease to getting ideas down quickly and documenting them.

I have used Miro in the past and I believe Lucidspark is just as, if not more effective. As mentioned previously, I really appreciate the ability to break out into smaller groups from a single board. It saves a great deal of confusion when workshopping with a large number of people. Miro does not have this ability.
