Overall Satisfaction with Majestic SEO
Majestic SEO, in my eyes is one of the pioneering tools in SEO landscape. We have been doing SEO for a long time and ever since I remember, we have used Majestic SEO for a long time now. We widely use the tool in consulting when doing SEO/backlink analysis for our clients.
Pros
- One of the best uses of the tool is to find backlinks.
- It's a great tool to get trust flow and citation flow that provides an overview about the health of the backlinks.
- Also we love the anchor text option in the tool.
- The tool is also very helpful in showing anchor text distribution.
Cons
- Majestic SEO can do a better job in presenting the data in a better and more useful form.
- Maybe Majestic SEO can refresh their database more often as often times there is a big discrepancy in the number of links found by the tool and its competitors.
- Its too much focused on links. Other tools like SEMRush also show rankings etc.
- T summarize: it delivers on the promise. It's a site management/link profile analysis tool and it does a great job with that.
- The flexible pricing plans make it very easy to customize the tool based on the functionality etc.
- We started with the free version and decided to upgrade the tool to get the additional functionalities and in-depth reports etc. SO far in terms of ROI it has been on a positive side.
I would say Ahrefs does somehow a better job in terms of data quality, ease of use and intuitiveness. Majestic SEO surely follows Ahrefs on the second position as per my opinion. Majestic SEO has a huge potential for improvement when it comes to the way tool portrays information on the website as well as can work on the way data is displayed on the charts.

One of the features that made us buy the tool was the fact that it shows trust and citation flow. In few clicks, this custom score provides an overview of the health of backlinks a particular website has. For us in consulting, it was important to get this overview for different clients. Also, the tool makes it super easy to compare 5 websites at once.
If I would have to do it again, I would consider other tools in the market and see for the money we are paying for Majestic SEO if any other tool could provide us with same or better functionality for a better price. However, one good thing about Majestic SEO is that there are several pricing points that somehow fits everyone's need.
