Overall Satisfaction with ManageEngine Endpoint Central

Helps keep our systems up to date, gives us an easy way to see what software is on each system, gives us a good way to manage our inventory. Gives a lot of valuable information for assessing our environments security and give us a centralized way to push out patches to systems that are missing patches or have vulnerabilities.

Pros

Cons

  • better synchronize with Service Desk Plus assets (staying updated between both apps)
  • remote control seems to be hit or miss at times
  • issues with agent updates sometimes. the agent will just break sometimes
  • better security on clients
  • easier tracking of software and patching.
  • easier tracking of our inventories such as monthly computer counts
  • easily see when a system is offline
  • bitlocker management
I find the application very easy to use with a friendly tab based user interface. I have had no issues finding what I am looking for within the software. patching features are easy to use and easy to push patches to multiple clients and also easy to see what applications we have installed on which systems, along with versions of client software
ManageEngine Endpoint Central is really the first software we have used here for this type of client management, but it has worked well for us and I do not see a reason to move to any other applications at this time. I would like to see Service Desk Plus and ManageEngine Endpoint Central better update between the two though.

I love that ManageEngine Endpoint Central keeps our IP addresses on systems updated in real time. I use it a lot to find an IP for a system I am trying to connect to remotely when the DNS doesn't always update instantly.

I have seen a lot of issues with ManageEngine Endpoint Central and Service Desk Plus not updating systems between each other in a good manner. systems will be mis-named in SDP a lot.
