Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft 365 Business

Currently, our entire organization has implemented the use of Microsoft 365 Business to provide remote access to email, documents, and calendars for meetings. We are using the system to allow our very siloed global departments to share visibility and control version histories for our process documents. Additionally, we are creating shared agendas and virtual workspaces for improved meeting productivity and cross-border projects.

  • Massive amount of storage space provided for shared projects and efforts
  • Can be overwhelming with many features not being utilized due to lack of knowledge, awareness, and/or training.
  • Some lag time/delays can cause unnecessary typos and errors on shared projects.
  • We've faced some issues with the integration with Skype for Business in terms of missed notifications, missed messages, and difficulties with the automatic sign-on.
  • Improved visibility on projects for managers.
  • Improved collaboration between departments leading to increased SH satisfaction and employee morale.

It's a great system. The only major issue I've seen is some lag possible while working on a larger document or Excel worksheet. If one of your offices tends to face issues with internet connection speed, you should keep this in mind. Otherwise, the system has worked well with employees in our three primary regions. They are able to simultaneously work on, edit, and discuss projects.
The system can be slow to implement depending on your team and rate of adoption, but afterward, it is very simple to use, manage, and supervise.
Microsoft 365 Business is very well-suited for a global company with geographically dispersed employees, efforts, and projects to allow for collaboration and support from any connected device. While it can take some time to integrate and ensure consistent use across your enterprise, the benefits far outweigh any difficulties in start-up and the learning curve is quick.
