Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft 365 Business

We use 365 company-wide. For years, we had battled with our Exchange server. As 365 became available and more economical, we made the jump first with our email and Exchange server. It has saved us so much time. We don't have to worry about either anymore.

Now we use the full suite 365 offers, including Teams. We're happy with the synergy it brings, particularly to the IT department. It's a seamless experience between Azure DevOps, Teams, and other Microsoft products we use.

Microsoft is adding new options as well. They have a newer invoicing tool we're looking at too.
  • Email server and associated services - no more worry about an on-premise email server. Ease of administration of email accounts.
  • The synergy of Microsoft products - the ability to use and tie several products together from anywhere: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
  • Workflow has been great as well - we've been able to automate several tasks that previously required a person on our team to complete.
  • The cloud version of OneNote needs some work; I prefer the desktop version. I found the web version to be a bit laggy and slow.
  • In the beginning, it took a bit for everyone to transition from the other tools we were using. I would say anticipate transition time and some users taking longer than others.
  • Mostly positive impact. The cost is comparable to what we were doing with licensing desktop or server side products. The users certainly enjoy the more seamless experience and the ability to access the same content across all their devices.
Frankly, there's no comparison. 365 has more features, better synergy between products, and straight up works. They are always working on new features or a better way to use existing products. And there are new products that come out from time to time with our subscription. Sure, it's not free; however, it's well worth the money for our team and our company as a whole.
Performance is very good. From time to time, there are challenges with Outlook and speed. However, it makes me smile because we don't have to deal with the server side challenges of having our own email server.

The uptime is good and if there are speed or performance issues, they are generally resolved very quickly.
It's all very familiar to anyone who has used email, word processing, spreadsheets, messaging, or any other productivity and communication tools. Simple to use, clean design for the most part, and there are options to customize things to your preferences or method of work. Additionally, there are helpful resources within the tools and online forums to find more answers if needed.
We're a Microsoft shop, from a development and network perspective. So it makes sense for us to use their 365 tools as well. We've seen great synergies by doing that and a more seamless user experience. Automation of processes and tasks with Workflow has been helpful. Collaboration and team communication have improved with Teams, particularly with those who work remotely. Having our productivity pieces available in the cloud has also helped improve documentation and communication, particularly having those work with Teams and other 365 apps.
