Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Entra ID
We use Microsoft Entra ID to manage our user credentials and privileges across the MS 365 platform. As a small company, it's important to have IT systems that are easy to implement, manage, and grow. And they need to be reliable and play nice with the rest of our environment. Since we use Microsoft products across the board, Microsoft Entra ID is the obvious solution.
Pros
- SSO across all Microsoft platforms
- Easy to manage users and privileges
- Easy to implement MFA options
Cons
- Support has been less responsive than we'd like. Sometimes, responses/callbacks can take days.
- There seem to be some credential conflicts with users who had "personal" accounts in the past using the same email address.
- Would like more options for chat-based troubleshooting, rather than phone or email.
- The ability to use Microsoft Entra ID with a base-level MS 365 subscription has saved significant implementation costs vs building out a standalone solution.
All of our identities are in the cloud. I wouldn't really consider maintaining our credentials and managing these systems on-prem, at this point. I'd rather rely on Microsoft Entra ID to house our data securely and reliably, than try to do it ourselves. Happy to outsource as many of our IT services as possible!
Yes, we use Microsoft Entra ID to manage access to an electronic quality management system.
Yes, our users are happy about being able to quickly and easily login to multiple MS apps and SAAS apps with a single set of credentials. It definitely saves time.
Microsoft Entra ID makes it so easy and seamless to manage an environment full of Microsoft apps, that it didn't make much sense to deploy another option. If we were heavily invested in the Google platform, then it might make sense to use a Google offering for SSO.

Using Microsoft Entra ID
4 - We use Entra ID to manage cloud identities across a dispersed team of users. This includes accounting, IT admin, engineering, and executive functions. And it allows us to work with teams in the United States and abroad. It helps us manage access to our cloud applications like Office 365, Azure administration, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.

We were already using other Microsoft applications like Office 365. We decided it made much more sense to consolidate our platform to Microsoft for ease of management and future scalability. Provisioning new users and cloud apps is seamless now, and we can manage everything from a single portal. It's made IT administration much simpler for us.
We probably wouldn't change much. It made a lot of sense for us to consolidate to MSFT, as we were already taking advantage of other applications and integrations with other cloud software.
