Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Entra ID

We are getting any new user creation, user seeing issues, user management, and sometimes we are getting some alerts from our SO team and they need some information about the user, their logins, their activities, so you can see network team, soc team, they're consulting my team members actually to get some kind of details

Pros

  • We're using for single sign-on is the most important thing and we are using for the, you can say Office 365 level and you can say we're using for our identity access management for product, we are relying on

Cons

  • We're looking for the recommendations. Well almost like we are covering all the aspects, not really, but in many cases rarely we are facing something, I cannot recall it right now, but we had issues mainly with legacy applications available and those are the on time application. And in case of we can say all S protocols, we're using some service accounts for the email and all we because it's not there.
  • It didn't impacted us in any way in a negative manner.
We're having hybrid identity. Normally we're using hybrid identity in the on prem and we're using cloud sync to sync.
Yeah. Somehow we are using with the single signon, like SAP, you can say being an oil and gas company, we are having hundred of applications. Those are purely doing the oil and gas only. So in that aspect, some applications we are able to do, some are still not compatible with Microsoft. So there's a challenge over there.
Specifically any SaaS application. There are so many. You can take an example as a no before we are using, no before for you can say training purpose, train the user for the cyber threat. Cyber issues. So they're using the plugin there to report issues. We're using it.
  • AWS Identity & Access Management
I use some part of AWS IM also, but not purely Microsoft brand. I use AWS for a very short period of time.

Having your Microsoft environment, you're having organization like us, we're using even habit identities, even identity integration are heterogeneous. We're creating IDs through portal basically and we are creating IDs for capacity as well. This product is have a vision over there and visibility over there, so within 15 minutes all the ID are everywhere and less appropriate. Again, you can say when it comes to the legacy application OT network in that part we are not using the same account so we are facing some challenge over there.

Using Microsoft Entra ID

It's like first thing is user-friendly, easily adaptable and second thing that is similar as what we are using managing active directory. We are from the childhood when we started our career to that time we are directing active directory, so it's more similar to that environment. That's why I can.
