Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow)

We use Power Automate to essentially build robot processes. We look to repetitive and other eligible tasks for automation, work with users to standardize their processes, and build flows so the process can be eliminated or shrunk from the users' hands. This may include the use of cloud flows and desktop flows.
  • Some processes can run entirely on the cloud.
  • On-premises applications can be automated with desktop flows.
  • Web and desktop recorders help create the automation.
  • Supports Java forms within the Power Automate Desktop application.
  • Reference connections are hard to maintain, when we have cloud flows within a solution, being migrated across different environments and with different shared accounts.
  • Power Automate Desktop application has some performance issues.
  • It's hard to find detailed information on Microsoft's blogs about what exactly is being changed in each Power Automate Desktop release.
  • FTP actions for cloud flows don't always work as expected.
  • Java applets/forms compatibility - through the Java access bridge, Power Automate Desktop recognizes fields natively.
  • Cloud platform - some tasks being automated don't even need to run on the organization's local structure.
  • Easy compatibility with other Microsoft products, such as OneDrive, online Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Reduction of costs, coming from other RPA platforms.
  • More possibilities to automate tasks - we can offer more ways and automate more.
Power Automate is a real RPA platform, while UFT for example is just a tool to test software that can offer a good level of automation for desktop applications. Power Automate is cloud-based and offers automation for both cloud and on-premises applications. Besides that, it has a good way to monitor tasks.

Do you think Microsoft Power Automate delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Power Automate's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Power Automate live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Microsoft Power Automate go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Microsoft Power Automate again?

Yes

It's one of the best RPA platforms on the market currently. However, we all know that it's a work in progress system, with a lot of changes/fixed every month. Developers sometimes are not free to customize the flows with their own codes. But compared to what other tools on the market can offer, this is the best way to go.
