My company is using Automation Anywhere to handle repetitive tasks, for example processing the internet bills or food bills which are submitted by the employees to get reimbursements. These tasks used to consume approximately 4 hrs every day. Now, after implementing Automation Anywhere Robots, we are able to perform these tasks in less than 30 mins. This is being used by a process right now, and the plan is to deploy globally across different departments. Automation Anywhere saves FTE time from doing repetitive tasks, plus it is highly accurate in terms of doing complex repetitive tasks.
  • It is highly accurate, and gets up and running in a very short period of time.
  • You can keep the BOT learning by feeding more and more data sets, which makes the whole process highly efficient.
  • It is very cost-effective when deployed and when scaling out to the limit.
  • Automation Anywhere is not able to use OCR effectively and has limited usability. Maybe they should try implementing Tesseract.
  • Handwritten documents are still giving a nightmare. Also, it is difficult to handle control room management.
  • It is a little costly, but the ROI is very high for projects with a huge volume of input.
Automation Anywhere is well suited in automating those processes which involve a lot of unstructured data like images and pdfs. For example, in processing the invoices in the Accounts and Admin department, Automation Anywhere would be of great utility. Also, if you have structured data to process like data in Excel files, then you can avoid Automation Anywhere and go for any other basic RPA tool.

We have been using Automation Anywhere for multiple processes within our organization for more than a year now. It was the best software where even my nontechnical employees can play moderator to some extent. We have suggested to many of our professional peers about the advantages of this software and how it saves costs on manpower to a large extent.
  • Sales order processing.
  • Daily reporting through mails automation.
  • Purchase order processing.
  • Payroll processing.
  • Coding is not that complex.
  • Process design flow should be simple than the present feature.
  • Nothing much but requirements keep adding with complexity, so automation becomes complex for now. That should be one more area of improvement soon.
Where we are having huge manpower expenditures for our internal processes and all the processes where we can't take the risk of compliance issues or errors with respect to data processing. If there are too many human interventions required then for such kind of processes this software is not suitable.

Currently, in the company where I work, Automation Anywhere is being used by some developers. There are projects to carry out automation in all departments of the company. This tool is running the projects that were finalized at night, generating a reduction in the workload and streamlining all the processes. In the company it has a test and production base, facilitating the replication and not interfering in the day to day of the officials.
  • Agility in processes.
  • Easy to understand.
  • You do not need experience with codes.
  • Easy to use.
  • Program is difficult to understand when large.
  • Very expensive license.
  • There should be separation or some difference in syntax.
Some projects have already been done using Automation Anywhere. These completed projects have made a great saving of annual hours of work since the processes run at dawn and save the reports to the tax team. There are other projects that are under development for other sectors. I think you still need to improve the tool because it can not interact with our main oracle system (EBS), since it needs to get print taking and sending commands from keyboards. I think it would look better if there was some deeper integration with the oracle system.

Automation Anywhere is currently being used by the IT department of our organization. We use it for automation of a numerous processes that are repetitive. In many areas, there are processes that are manual, like sending emails, reports, creating presentations, etc. We've been able to automate all of these processes with Automation Anywhere.
  • Interface is user-friendly and clean.
  • It has a wide variety of task possibilities.
  • Automation Anywhere can handle PDF, Excel, getting information quickly.
  • The drag and drop features really help to code.
  • It is not that cheap.
  • Sometimes applications takes a little time for loading.
  • There is a lack of support on handling datatypes.
Automation Anywhere is well suited for any organization in which there are processes that have repetitive tasks. Getting information from Web, PDFs, spreadsheets. Also you can schedule the trigger of a Excel VBA with Automation Anywhere, to run any report or presentation you need by the day and time you need. Development of BOTs.

We are utilizing Automation Anywhere to automate repetitive, mundane, low, and no value-added tasks within corporate and global finance and accounting teams. It allows us to automate processes that pull our teams away from analyzing data that they spend so much time in acquiring, downloading, and formatting that data. Labor is expensive, and Automation Anywhere allows us to focus that labor on higher value creation.
  • Automation of repetitive tasks.
  • Easily learned by anyone who spends a bit of time with it.
  • A low-cost barrier to entry.
  • Implementation can be rough for small companies.
  • Documentation is plentiful, but often scattered and only partially complete in form.
We love Automation Anywhere. It's perfectly suited for larger firms with well developed systems and IT structures to implement and use. While it has worked for us, as a small-ish firm, that hosts the system not in IT, but rather an Accounting and Finance function, it can be sometimes difficult to integrate and maintain. Many may tell you not to house it within IT, but it would certainly help in many instances.

We provide Automation Anywhere setup and task customization services to our customers, most of them are telco companies. The solutions we offer are often integrated with an orchestration platform so we can automate a large business process that uses both RPA and other types of automation/integration like web services, APIs, business rules engine and databases.

Several common problems we address with RPA are:
  • Incident, change and problem creation, resolution and assignment to other workgroups.
  • Integration between legacy systems, that provide some actions only through the UI.
  • Data collection /input on online systems (web, Java) and spreadsheets.
  • Data backup/replication through system UI.
  • Send email based on some specific condition based on the data collected in the legacy systems.
  • Built-in tools like FTP, SOAP / REST integration and native database connection through ODBC.
  • Support for several technologies through plugins (web / Chrome, Java and others).
  • Task versioning.
  • Variable context passing through multiple tasks.
  • Task deployment unstable in some situations.
  • To deploy bots through Control Room, logged users in the machine have a runner profile (can't deploy on a creator profile for testing).
  • The REST API documentation isn't well detailed.
Automation Anywhere is well suited for most RPA use cases, because it comes with a good and versatile set of commands, screen actions and built-in tools and features (it supports FTP, SOAP, REST, Database, variable assignment and manipulation, and simple math).

Its applicability is more or less suited depending on the creator user profile (those who will program the tasks that will be executed by bots). Users with a technical background won't have any problem using the software and creating the bots, while people that don't have a technical background might have difficulty while using Automation Anywhere because programming logic and other computing concepts (protocols, SQL, etc) will be required for more complex RPA use cases.

I have been working as RPA Developer for two years. I have worked with the Automation Anywhere tool, extensively satisfied with tool features and very happy. In these days of using it my challenges were like most of the applications may or may not use HTML technology so this tool can manage Java Based, HTML, and Standard Technologies. Features like Metabot, TaskBots, and IQ Bots will give a better experience for most of the problems.
  • Task Bots Can automate 90% of the digital repetitive problems.
  • Meta Bots can increase ROI and re-usability of Bots.
  • IQ Bots can solve Invoice Automation Problems.
  • Decision making capability and tool perspective
  • More features for using Python Scripts to be used in AA
  • IQ Bots Enhancement
1. Most repetitive work and rule Based work.
2. More people working on the same thing for long hours.
3. Data Entry places which is constant and where applications are not continuously changing.
4. Where there is not any critical thinking or human intervention needed for decision making.

It is used as a prototype to test automation of AP invoices with a Rob Sap backend. Currently, the process of recording AP invoices is very cumbersome and users have to go through several hoops.
  • Easy to deploy
  • Reduced time to implement
  • Great user experience
  • Interface to SAP
  • Encouragement of new partners to join
  • Easy availability of pricing
Well suited for screen scraping scenarios. Still testing how well it will work with SAP as the backend.

We use Automation Anywhere internally and also we help our clients to automate their back end support services. We suggest Automation Anywhere to all the cross functional departments. We have automated more than 50 use-cases for our clients by using Automation Anywhere. It has addressed all backend support services. Leveraging the tool is easy and installation is one of the main things that we need to revisit to make it simple.
  • We have automated one of our client in Luxembourg using Automation Anywhere and it really does a wonderful job for us and we have identified a high volume use-case that was yielding the best ROI for them.
  • We also automated HR and Finance use-case for one of our client in Europe which helped to get appreciation and more deals from them.
  • Automation Anywhere helps us to close many deals.
  • Automation Anywhere doesn't come with easy installation, We need to install Java, IDEs and Databases in an orderly fashion which we are not able to do.
  • Automation Anywhere has no workflow design which is not making us to understand the process.
  • Automation Anywhere has no fit to size object cloning.
Automation Anywhere is well suited for our organization since we are a systems integrator. Leveraging this RPA tool, we automate many use-cases and the department we cover are IT, HR and Finance. ROI is a major factor which makes the tool less appropriate.

Automation Anywhere is being deployed company wide to reduce manual swivel chair processes and improving workers day to day experience. All departments have been engaged to identify areas of opportunity and need to provide the greatest return of value. We don't measure value just by dollars and savings, but also include how it impacts the employee experience and the additional higher level thinking opportunities it provides.
  • The interface is very easy to use and maneuver without requiring a programming background.
  • The built in security and error checking features are highly effective and allow to build resilient bots.
  • Bots are able to be created extremely quickly from a proof of concept perspective to understand the value and complexity necessary.
  • The free online training is more of a product overview than a practical hands on training.
  • Because the tool has been developed over time there are some small differing nuances between the 600+ different functionalities.
  • The tool could offer a bit more configurability to address frequent situations and personal preference/efficiency.
Automation Anywhere is excellent at performing rules based data movement and interactions. Especially when working with legacy or third party systems that the business is unable to get to the underlying data architecture. It is also great at creating a temporary process that can add immediate value while a more stable IT solution is being developed. Scenarios where it is less appropriate include processes where multiple human decisions are made that are not rules based. However, it is possible to use Automation Anywhere to automate parts of a process with human touch-point/decision-making steps intertwined within the process.

Automation Anywhere is being used in the organization for automating some of the third party client business processes. It's being used by the RPA department. With the Automation Anywhere solution we are already developing 3 projects for the third party client. With the Automation Anywhere business solution we are able to give a very solid solution for the client and the client is happy with the solutions we have given.
  • One of the best strengths of AA is Metabots is so efficient in reading the web content.
  • Other key advantages of AA are the ability to Run scheduled tasks anytime by using powerful task scheduling, even when the computer is locked and easily manage automated processes across a single machine or multiple machines across a division or an enterprise.
  • One of the unique features of AA is SMART Automation Technology that quickly automates complex tasks, with no programming required and is highly reliable and accurate as it has 550 plus actions available to build an unfailing bot.
  • Extended trial version is one of the areas which I would love to have. Now only we have 30 days programme with limited training videos.
  • When it comes identifying the contents of handwritten pdf documents, the outcome is not accurate and some sort of improved activity can overcome the situation.
  • There's a loss of overhead on the computing resources in Automation Anywhere. If you have an encrypted bot, the Automation Anywhere software has to read it first, decrypt it, and run it. So there is a potential that, if the logic of the bot isn't good enough, a lot of CPU and memory overload will happen. This is something which Automation Anywhere should look at because it takes a lot of computing resources. I have seen CPUs running at 100 percent.
You can probably use any similar tools. But Automation Anywhere is one tool that actually gives me automation capability right at the start, without worrying about process improvement in terms of additional features. If I am dealing with a dynamic workflow where the workflow might change based on the input parameters, then Automation Anywhere doesn't help me because the code is pretty much fixed. When I need those types of workflows I go to UiPath.nt in the first place. I can just act like how another person would. Whereas if I do a little bit of process optimization, I can use another tool also. It definitely saves time and effort when it comes to automating processes of a complex nature. What I like about Automation Anywhere is the object cloning and the way you can move the mouse and either go to a particular point or go to an element. That's very easy and intuitive in Automation Anywhere. In terms of additional features, if I am dealing with a dynamic workflow where the workflow might change based on the input parameters, then Automation Anywhere doesn't help me because the code is pretty much fixed. When I need those types of workflows I go to other tools.

We are a leading System Integrator for RPA and AI related products, We have been using the top three RPA tools, and we found Automation Anywhere to be more cost-effective and simple to implement for our customers. We have successfully transformed a couple of boring repetitive tasks using Automation Anywhere, which include order management, data comparisons from various sources, etc.
  • Simple: It allows users to configure their workflows, even people with no programming knowledge can automate a simple business process.
  • Drag and Drop commands, which help to navigate the tool seamlessly.
  • Easy recording options are available, which enable us to capture the required business problems.
  • It would be good if Automation Anywhere could include flow charts of processes, like competitors.
  • Installation and troubleshooting should be more simplified.
  • The user interface needs more stability and mode screen options.
Automation Anywhere has a robust interface, and it can accommodate any repetitive business processes across various industries. We have enjoyed benefits in the supply chain management space across order management, inventory management, order comparison, and delivery tracking.
It's well-suited for high volume repetitive tasks, but is not suited for low volume and unstructured data.

Automation Anywhere is being used for different automation processes, such as Service Now Ticket handling, supplier onboarding, and finance areas in our organization. It is being used in our team of 9 people working as RPA Automation Anywhere developers. We are currently creating bots to automate the scenarios of ticketing handling mechanisms in Service Now, along with other web applications.
  • Integration of different types of technologies, such as Web App automation, Database, Excel & PDF Handling, Email automation, Active Directory, API's FTP, etc. All in one platform.
  • Makes automation super easy.
  • Cognitive ability to analyze unstructured documents using IQ Bot.
  • Bot Insight, which provides data analytics and a live dashboard, which provides more meaningful representations of data, to make decisions easier.
  • No Programming language knowledge is required to create bots. It's easy to use commands to automate scenarios.
  • The license cost is a little expensive, I feel.
  • Lot of work needs to done on the development workbench to make bot creation more sophisticated.
RPA Automation Anywhere will be helpful to create a digital workforce which will replace human efforts in doing linear and step-by-step processes. Automation Anywhere bots can be used efficiently to increase your Return on Investment. Automation Anywhere is very suitable for processes which need less or no human intervention to complete a process. It provides several technical capabilities to address the technical challenges in the process of automation.

We helped clients across the globe implement Automation Anywhere, where it helped to solve major challenges like complex processes within the Operations team. It drastically reduced time by automating a number of Operation's processes and made technical engineers concentrate more on core processes which have made the employee's lives easier and resulted in a quick ROI.
  • Drag and drop 500 + commands are easy to implement.
  • AA can interact with all tools without extra cost.
  • The pricing structure is reasonable compared to competitors like BluePrism and UI.
  • It will be more beneficial If AA had a flowchart.
  • If it is able to integrate with any plug-ins available on the market which could read hand-written documents, that would be good.
  • Rest is all fine .
From my experience, I would strongly recommend AA for the operation teams. Wherever there are mundane tasks, it can be automated precisely and is well suited. It's very easy to implement with various tools and systems. It's less appropriate in cases of decision-making scenarios for operations. We would recommend that AA improve their AI tools as well.

We are a system integration partner for Automation Anywhere and we leverage the Automation Anywhere tool to achieve our clients' business goals. We have been using these tools specifically for our client's finance, HR and the IT department. Business problems like auto ticket creation, onboarding vendor processing, month-end reconciliation have been solved with the quality dashboard.
  • Automation Anywhere can integrate with any OCR products which helps to read all type of scanned PDFs. Most of our clients are looking to automate their finance process and Automation Anywhere provides the best solution to all of the backend processes.
  • Email automation and database automation are great ways to help to reduce the time and effort
  • Automation Anywhere can leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning using their Metabots.
  • We can seamlessly automate any use-cases in any department.
  • Automation Anywhere can be improved when it integrates with APIs.
  • Automation Anyhwere should use code level automation instead of drag and drop options.
  • Automation Anywhere should provide solutions with high scalability.
Automation Anywhere is well suited for our customers that come with a $10k mini starter pack. Other tools come with a high price and thats one of the reasons why we chose Automation Anywhere. The other is its compatibility.

It is used profoundly in our organization for handling complex business problems. It interacts with web applications, CRM applications, and SAP applications in the banking and insurance vertical. It helps the bank in automating dynamic document generation processes and with OCR applications integrating with banking software.
  • CRM applications: Lead Handling process, CSV upload into the system with email notifications to the customer.
  • SAP Applications: Invoice generating and document processing.
  • OCR capabilities for handling Citrix/VDI applications, and capturing complex data.
  • A learning model for AA needs to be evolved to catch more users.
  • Real-time scenarios relating to tools causes capabilities to be more evolved.
  • Real-time logging and error handling mechanism is too evolved.
Well suited for CRM applications, SAP applications, and OCR. Not well suited for logging, real-time events, and scheduling jobs.

  • Reading PDFs extremely fast
  • Data scraping is efficient, easy to implement
  • Handling of emails.
  • CR is too complicated to install.

Automation Anywhere is used widely across my organisation for automation of various processes to reduce manual repetitive tasks. There are several processes which were manual like sending status reports/emails/failure emails. We were able to remove all of these with RPA Automation Anywhere. It helps to automate the processes related to web/desktop/Citrix and database related processes.
  • AA helps to automate SAP Applications /VDI applications.
  • It helps in finance/banking processes to handle invoicing and other activities.
  • Features like Object cloning/smart recorders help to achieve functionality which is better than other products.
  • It is not able to use OCR effectively and has limited usability.
  • Handwritten documents are still a drawback. Also difficult in terms of control room management.
If processes involve web or desktop apps then Automation Anywhere is well suited for automation as a tool.
If rule based decisions are required in the process then partial automation can be done with Automation Anywhere.

The scope of our project foresees the change of several administrative processes of the America Movil group. We researched several automation tool leaders in the market and Automation Anywhere was one of them. Capacity for improvement in a cognitive system was an important point.
  • Task Object cloning trumps other tools. It makes the editing intuitive and easy to develop
  • Development interface is clean, well structured and friendly
  • Variety of tasks and ease of manipulating variables makes development easy
  • Implementing the control room is the bad part of the tool. Difficult, confusing and expensive
  • Debugger is also a weakness of the tool, forcing the developer to use error handling or message box to map errors
Ideal tool for medium and large automation with capacity for expansion for cognitive methods.

It has been used in my own project. It has significantly reduced the time for automation and regression. Although RPA tools are usually deployed in production, we have been using it for regression runs as well along with prod runs. Personal training and learning can be done using free software so I didn't have to go out of the way to learn it explicitly. Workflow automation is easier to achieve and exception handling is pretty good. Relatively new software so the good thing is they are updating and upgrading new features from time to time.
  • Exception handling is pretty decent. WE don't have to worry about process being stuck as it moves to the next iteration on its own.
  • Automation is easier to achieve as it doesn't require high coding skills or designing a specific framework.
  • It can achieve PDF editing and automation, which in our case of policy documents has been valuable.
  • Cost is high so there is a scope for improvement since other tools like Uipath are open source.
  • Run time data and analytics can surely improve as it's not very easy to follow.
  • The UI interface is not very user-friendly.
It is well suited for automation of almost all types of applications. Web, Citrix, desktop all kind of applications can be automated. In case you need to achieve a faster move to the market, it can help as you can do it with a dedicated team inexperienced coders. Licensing cost is high, so if you have budget constraints it can be a bit of a spoiler. UI is not that user-friendly but you can make do if the team is dedicated.

At the moment we use the Automation Anywhere tool among the company developers to assist in process automation. We opted for Automation Anywhere because we thought it was the best option on the market today. RPA is becoming more and more important in Brazil, and we are adapting to this change from the inside out, to meet the demands of external customers in the future. We are currently working internally with the tool, automating internal processes and doing a series of tests before we start selling solutions.
  • I could see that Automation Anywhere handles PDFs better than its competitors.
  • Automation Anywhere has its own programming language that is very easy to learn.
  • It has more than 500 task possibilities.
  • Automation Anywhere does not handle virtualized environments very well.
  • Automation Anywhere does not have a very good debugger.
  • The control room is extremely complicated to set up.
As said, Automation Anywhere is recommended to automate any type of repetitive process that has been previously mapped. It handles, very well, PDF's and websites, either to extract information, fill in fields, send or read emails, etc. Not recommended for working in virtualized environments or dealing with image data extraction.

We currently use Automation Anywhere by a group of developers from our company who have been certified in the tool. We develop solutions to automate the processes of our company seeking to allocate our employees to other tasks. We are studying the possibility of selling solutions to external customers.
  • Automation Anywhere is great for handling PDFs, extracting information very quickly.
  • Automation Anywhere is great for dealing with website table extraction.
  • Automation Anywhere is great for handling any type of repetitive process that has been mapped.
  • Automation Anywhere is not good at dealing with image information extraction (Citrix).
  • Automation Anywhere is not good when debugging tasks.
  • Automation Anywhere is not good when you need to install the control room, because of the complexity.

My organization develops bots, using Automation Anywhere, for prospective clients. There is a separate RPA team for bot development, architecture, testing, delivery, etc. We cater to many business problems, which are feasible to automate across many industries like apparel, finance, bank, insurance, BPO, etc. I myself have solved business processes like Cost Sheet Creation, Payroll Processing, Account Payable, Email Automation, etc.
  • IQ Bot is the key strength of Automation Anywhere, which enables us to convert PDF to Excel, Word or CSV formats.
