Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Powerpoint

We use Microsoft Powerpoint to put together presentations for product pitches. Convey information to employees and investors. Organize results and data. The business problems it addresses mainly stem from communication. It is a powerful communication platform to allow us to share ideas during meetings.

Pros

  • Easy to import Graphics.
  • Compatible with many plotting software (Excel, Origin, MATLAB).
  • Easy to customize to increase company branding.

Cons

  • It sometimes crashes when PowerPoints get too large.
  • Import/play of videos can be finicky.
  • Hotkey introduction for alignment and distribution of elements would be useful.
  • Import of plots from other software (Excel, origin, MATLAB).
  • Customization of master slides for employees.
  • Compatibility with Macs and PCs.
  • Marginal cost, great for presentations among all employees.
  • Many people use it to organize their work and share with management.
  • Useful for project management to share with team.
I have made slides and presented PDFS in the past and it is not as sleek as PowerPoint. PowerPoint is the premier tool for presentations, in my opinion.

Yes

Did Microsoft Powerpoint live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Microsoft Powerpoint go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Microsoft Powerpoint again?

Yes

Microsoft PowerPoint is great whenever you need to give a presentation and you care about graphics, animations, or focusing your audience on a specific part of the slide. It is finicky and requires a lot of trial and error if you want to include videos. These have been known to not play during presentations at times.
