Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Project

Microsoft Project is used extensively throughout our whole organization, within department projects, for all the expansion and upgrade projects in the manufacturing facilities.
I will not say that it address the problems but [provides] a clear insight of the project. It provides the team with deadlines, upcoming deliveries from different vendors, and risk of bottle neck within construction and contractors.
  • Creates deadlines and milestones of projects
  • Complete outline of the entire project from start to finish so it can be presented to the board of directors.
  • Critical path management
  • Not a web based program and can only be used as a single user
  • Only on windows platform
  • Price
  • Project deadlines and milestones clearly shown
  • Employee efficiency on completing the task
  • Multiple licenses needed as it is not web based
  • Google Charts,Google Drive,Google Cloud Storage
Google is web based and makes life easier if you are managing multiple projects in different plant locations. It's easier to create sheets or charts and everybody can make modifications at the same time.
Microsoft Project is well suited for the manufacturing projects where a project manager has to deal with deadlines and multiple contractors.
