Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Visio

We use Microsoft Visio to help with the visualisation of concepts such as business workflows and diagrams. It also helps us with mind-mapping of ideas during business workshops and discussions with customers. We chose Visio as it integrates well with other Microsoft 365 cloud applications such as Excel. Overall it has improved our documentation process.

This rating is based on the software experience we have gained overtime. Previously we rated it a 6 but then found other products do not provide the same features which we use most in Visio. The integration with Microsoft 365 is also a very important factor with this usability rating.
Microsoft Visio is easier to use than MindManager from the user experience. Whilst MindManager is lightweight and supports the browser which make it great with sharing diagrams, its display with information is not always intuitive especially when it becomes too nested. For example, if there are multiple branches, the visualisation becomes quite difficult to read and understand.

I would definitely recommend for my colleagues to use Microsoft Visio for its mind mapping feature. It is easy to use and there are templates which meets most requirements. The creation of process diagrams is crucial to the business and Visio is the only tool that addresses most of our business requirements.
