Overall Satisfaction with Mimecast Advanced Email Security

We use Mimecast for protecting our end users from malicious phishing attacks, impersonation protection, and to send secure email to our clientele to ensure their information is protected at all times. The ease of use of the system and the way we are able to customize our block and permitted lists make using Mimecast an absolute necessity. Our end users love the Outlook Plugin, and has enabled them to take more power over the junk and spam they receive. Mimecast has been fantastic.

Pros

  • Protects from phishing attacks
  • Integrates well with our Office365 tenant
  • Ease of use with the Outlook Plugin

Cons

  • There are two ways to add emails / domains to the blocklist / allow list. I'd like to see this integrated into one menu
  • Adding admins to the console. It is kind of hidden and i wish this was easier to find.
  • The portal interface has an outdated design. This could be updated.
  • Increased email security
  • Better protection against phishing attacks
  • Automatic blocking of harmful emails based on policy.
Once the learning curve has been completed, the ssytem is easy to use on the end user side. The outlook plugin is fantastic, very intuitive and with a quick 5 minute training, the end users are versed enough to be able to make their own adjustments to their email, eliminating the need for IT to do all the work for them.
Integration with our office365 tenant was very quick and simple. Updating new users with Mimecast is automatic, and can be done manually if the need arises.
We did not have an email security product previously.
We selected Mimecast based on its features, cost and ease of use. We were also recommended to use Mimecast by other professionals in our industry, and based on the reviews we found doing our product research. Mimecast has performed well and has exceeded our expectations. We are glad we chose Mimecast for our organization.

For a medium to large enterprise, Mimecast os the perfect product for email protection. For a small business, the cost of the platform may not be suitable. It is a great platform, support is always very responsive, i've never had an issue there. Mimecast does its job fantastically well, and the ability to customize policies is great.
