Mimecast Review after a year of use
Overall Satisfaction with Mimecast Advanced Email Security
Tjhe ability to screen incoming and outgoing emails is critical. URL masking is another level of protection that we utilize. Finally, the ability for every user to send secure email is important to us.
Pros
- Secure eMail
- Filtering of inbound email
- Reporting Dashboards
Cons
- Better protection on outbound emails, hacked accounts can get by this.
- 2 factor logins for admins
- Time it takes to get to encoded links
- Inability to limit number of cc:'s a user can have on an email.
- Reducing security incidents
- Evaluating outbound clicks
- Limiting phishing without a lot of false positives.

Much better email filtering with just a few more false positives. The ability to scan outgoing email.
Fortinet is a premise pased system modified for SaaS use. we were not impressed with the UI either.
