Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use it for collaboration and brainstorming for project designs and ideas. We also use it for organizing tasks and schedules for project phases. It's an easy and quick visual to workshop team organization we have used Miro for. We have also used it for marking up and work on design iterations based on presentations.
Pros
- ease of sharing information and ideas/graphics
- quick and live collaboration
- multiple user collaboration
Cons
- sometimes the tools are very restrictive (why is the post-it note only able to stretch to 1 size up?)
- when there's too much content on a board, it starts to get clunky and lag when navigating
- more tools that allow better collaboration
- does enhance team productivity and communication across offices
- efficiency in that it's an online application that doesn't require to be linked to an office server
- can be accessed via multiple devices (ipad, computer, etc.)
I use the post-in notes the most. Being able to quickly put stickies and assign a color, makes it easy to map out project tasks and assign them to a category that's visually easy to see and assign to certain individuals on a project team. For design, just being able to easily import copied images for the web or PDF from a computer with ease has been beneficial.
Miro hasn't really affected in a positive or negative way. We use it mostly to augment our communications across project teams that may not be in the same geographical location. It has made it easier to share content rather than having to send file link locations from a server or a cloud storage.
