Overall Satisfaction with Monster.com

We use Monster.com as a means of finding the right candidates for job openings. I work as a contracted recruiter for companies, and Monster.com often has a great range of people actively looking for work. We also submit job descriptions to get a feel for who is out there in the market. I feel the people on Monster.com are more niche than the ones on competing sites, and it makes the response rate much higher.
  • Shows interested candidates
  • Shows relevant job openings
  • Post job openings
  • Strong search parameters
  • Monster.com's interface feels a little outdated at times
  • It could have strong filter options
  • Easier ways to export resumes to CSVs, PDFs, etc.
  • Ways to transfer mass amounts of candidates to other platforms
  • Reusable job postings
  • Email alerts for when people are looking for work
  • Candidate search tools
  • Salary tools
  • Helped us find interested candidates faster
  • Continuous job posting options
  • Monster.com does have a smaller candidate pool/pipeline which is negative at times
  • We have been able to fill many job openings for our clients using Monster.com
I think Monster.com fills a different niche. SeekOut/LinkedIn are more about finding candidates from the overall pool of millions of profiles and resumes. Monster.com shows you immediately who is looking, who is applying, etc. Monster.com also has the salary tools, which I think is very unique. The other sites do not have that and aren't as transparent about the market. Which I think is very valuable during competitive hiring times like these.

Do you think Monster.com delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Monster.com's feature set?

Yes

Did Monster.com live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Monster.com go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Monster.com again?

Yes

I think Monster.com is great in terms of finding interested candidates. Instead of cold-calling/contacting people out of the blue that may not be looking for work, you can set up an open job posting and see what the market is currently like. As stated before, I think the community/people who use Monster.com is smaller than some of the other large competing sites, which is actually beneficial for recruiters like me. I can find the people avidly looking for work and reach out to them.
