Overall Satisfaction with NetSuite
We purchased NETSUITE ONE WORLD to run my three companies. After nine months of false promises by the sales team and hundreds of meetings, we are still not up and running and we are ready to throw in the towel!
This company is horrible! From the first meeting with their sales team promising the world and the endless meetings with their engineers and project leaders it has been a very very slow and frustrating process. They are unorganized and every NetSuite employee only understands a small piece of the puzzle this fuels slow turnaround times and hundreds of unresolved issues. If your looking for NetSuite to be operational within a year this is not the company for you.
Heres what we spent and what I think it would take to get this operational in a year.:
$150,000 in software costs
$100,000 in implementation cost for a third party implementation company (don't let them sell you on "you can do it yourself" because its impossible to do it yourself.)
$ 200,000 in your company's salaries because you need two-three full-time employees on this for a year.
$ 30,000-$100,000 in third-party software because guess what NET SUITE can't work alone...too slow
Lets talk about slow.....its as slow as a turtle. Is it right that it takes 20 minutes to put in a sales order? We have looking for a solution for this problem for last three months no one can figure it out. And try to fix a issue it take endless emails and calls and worthless meetings and a month later its fixed.
They recommended a third party software, Suit Retail, that failed horribly. If you ever meet with these guys do yourself a favor and run. They did not tell us that it would take a year to get the software up and running and now we have to renew that license for $30,000 again without ever using the software!
I have tried and tried to get help from everyone at NetSuite and not one person has solved the problem....I even wrote a letter to the president of the company and nothing. I just want to leave and get our $400,000 investment back but I know that will never happen so maybe I could do some good and warn as many people as I can that this company is a disaster....wow was I ever fooled.

- POS - The system is running very slow so we had to hire two "third party" companies to help Net Suite accomplish a speedier POS solution and also speed up the outside sales reps ordering process because it was so slow.
- Communication with customers
- Implementation - They promised us that we would be up and running in 3 months with all the solutions in place, which did not turn out to be the case.
- The " Catch Weights" still do not work and it's nine months later. Catch weight capture the random weights of meats and cheeses so customers can be billed by weight multiplied by cost per pound.
- Expensive
- Negative: My company has been trying to implement for a year and we have lost millions in sales.
- Negative: cost of man power to implement.
- Negative: Waste of company resources because of horrible implementation.
We chose NetSuite because we needed to run three companies and do so with an ERP solution. We needed a company that could handle outside sales reps, a retail cash and carry store and web customers as well. Lots of promises, but never delivered.
