Nintex Workflow for Sharepoint

Overall Satisfaction with Nintex Platform

Nintex is currently being used to automate complex business processes that there currently isn't a solution for.

Pros

  • Customization
  • Allows for complex processing.
  • Complexity can high or low.

Cons

  • Task management is difficult. For example in a flexi task I don't have an action ID but I do in other tasks. Task IDs aren't created until after the task... that's not useful.
  • Custom code behind forms is difficult to make work.
  • Configuration is not always intuitive - you have to really understand workflow logic to get the most benefit out of the tool. Is it a developer tool? Or is it for the average user who has some experience but may not have the expertise?
  • We've been able to track requests and approvals better than in the past.
When it comes to simple workflows with simple requests Nintex workflows excel. However, when it comes to complex workflows often Nintex workflows are cumbersome to develop in.
